It's hard to break those habits from birth, but I'm trying.* This is the good setting-down I needed:
On the Great Myth of the Librarian Grays from Colleen at Guardienne of the Tomes.
It could be the euphoria of the Devil Pred,** but today I'm thankful for my job again, even though I'm not yet using my degree, I feel like a serf and I worry about remaining competitive or even finding something better. At least I'm working in a library.
* Apart from that Realism/Masochism habit; I'm holding onto that one until I die.
** Or, you know, the paycheck and the health insurance.
