In other news, I'm waiting for some maintenance meds. More on that tomorrow. It's cold for Texas here right now, 49 Fahrenheit. (In other words, many of my work colleagues - including a couple who are not native to this state - are wearing parkas and boots and going around exclaiming loudly about the Freezing Freezing Cold we are currently experiencing. Ahem.) Our apartment is poorly insulated, so I made some draft dodgers with the help of old old fabric from my theater days, and Martha Stewart's suggestion of recycled-newspaper kitty litter. They didn't help very much, so I sewed a thick curtain out of upholstery corduroy and hung it over the bedroom deck door, and then bought a thermal curtain and A. and I put it up over the goddamn front door. It's kind of awkward. My next-door neighbor assures me it's very olde European.
What I'm really missing, in addition to subzero temps and thus the license to bitch about them, is this:
Aw, that makes me so happy. Although this video really sums up my love for the movie. That's my grandpa there. Seriously. And probably my dad doing the conversing with him.
