I heartily recommend Laura Erickson's recent post about her pet - ahem, 'scuse me, her "licensed education" owl, Archimedes.

She includes some fantastic pictures of him chowing down on a mouse. My favorite (largely because the appearance of a "tongue," heh) is linked below, but it's not for the faint of heart, or those easily disgusted by mousetails.
