Election day!

Way to go, Wikipedia - these pics on the Texas 2010 elections page are hilarious:
Flattering, right?

Bill White probably isn't going to win. Texas doesn't have a senate race in 2010, and I have to do a little research on reps up for office. Senator-wise, I did get some interesting mail from Kay Bailey Hutchinson and "Big" John Cornyn when I sent them a CCFA form letter regarding the restoration of federal funding for the CDC's IBD program.

In my response to my form letter, I received two. That's fair. Hutchinson's was pretty bipartisan and discussed some IBD-related bills currently being debated. Cornyn's reply, when read aloud, sounded like my gastro's answering service.

If you need immediate assistance regarding an urgent problem you are experiencing with the federal government, visit the "Help With Federal Agencies" section of the website for details on how to proceed so that your difficulties are brought to my attention as soon as possible.

Heh. It's the legislative version of: If you need immediate assistance, please hang up and dial 911!
